Yuzawa Kogen

Yuzawa Kogen is a scenic ski resort perched on a highland plateau above the famous Yuzawa Onsen town in Niigata Prefecture. With 8 courses across an 800-meter vertical drop (370m to 1,170m) and 4 lifts including a large-capacity ropeway, the resort offers a unique skiing experience with panoramic views of the surrounding Echigo mountains and the Yuzawa valley below.

The resort is accessed from the center of Yuzawa town via the ropeway, making it walkable from Echigo-Yuzawa Shinkansen station in about 8 minutes.
