Naeba

Naeba is one of Japan's most iconic and largest ski resorts, located in the Yuzawa area of Niigata Prefecture. With 24 courses spanning a 889-meter vertical drop (900m to 1,789m) and 13 lifts, Naeba offers a massive amount of terrain for all ability levels. The resort is perhaps most famous for the Dragondola - a 5.5km gondola connection to neighboring Kagura ski area that creates one of the largest linked ski areas in Japan.

Operated by Prince Hotels, Naeba features the large Naeba Prince Hotel at its base, providing convenient slope-side accommodation for thousands of guests. The resort has a lively atmosphere with multiple restaurants, shops, and entertainment options. Night skiing is available on select runs. During summer, the resort transforms into the venue for Fuji Rock Festival, one of Asia's largest music events. While the lower slopes can suffer from wet snow due to relatively low base elevation, the upper mountain and the connection to Kagura's higher terrain ensure good conditions throughout the season.
