Mt. Naeba Tashiro

Tashiro is one of the three interconnected areas that make up the Kagura ski resort complex, located in the Yuzawa area of Niigata Prefecture. With 14 courses across an 800-meter vertical drop (800m to 1,600m) and 6 lifts, Tashiro is known for its wide, gentle slopes that make it particularly appealing to families and beginner to intermediate skiers.

The resort's higher base elevation compared to many Yuzawa-area resorts ensures better snow quality, while the scenic Lake Tashiro adds to the area's natural beauty. From Tashiro, skiers can connect to the main Kagura zone for more challenging terrain, and ultimately to Naeba via the Dragondola. This connectivity makes Tashiro an excellent entry point into one of Japan's largest interconnected ski areas, offering a gentler introduction before progressing to more demanding slopes.
