Ishiuchi Maruyama

Ishiuchi Maruyama is one of the most historic ski resorts in the Yuzawa area of Niigata Prefecture, with origins dating back to 1949. Recently undergone a major renovation, the resort now features a modern resort center and upgraded lift system while retaining its classic terrain. With 23 courses across a 664-meter vertical drop (256m to 920m) and 13 lifts, it offers excellent variety for intermediate and advanced skiers.

The resort is known for its extensive night skiing operations, excellent terrain parks, and a lively base village atmosphere. The recent addition of a combination gondola-chairlift has modernized the resort experience considerably. At the ridgeline, skiers can access neighboring GALA Yuzawa terrain, effectively expanding the skiable area. Located just 10 minutes by free shuttle from Echigo-Yuzawa Shinkansen station, Ishiuchi Maruyama is one of the most accessible quality ski resorts from Tokyo.
